Encyclis
Formerly known as Covanta Europe, Encyclis was created after the UK-based European operation of Covanta Corporation became a standalone company, under the ownership of EQT. Encyclis employs more than 200 people and is focused on the energy from waste sector[1].

Encyclis Reported Turnover
The following table summarises the turnover for the corporate entity as set out and extracted from Companies House[2]. Accounting approaches and financial years do not completely align across waste company pages (for FY ending March the year is shown as the previous year ie FY March 2025 is presented as 2024).
In some cases the main corporate entity has a range of subsidiaries and joint ventures that reflect historical funding, contractual and acquisition positions.

History
- At the time of the creation of the business it had three operational EfW plants (Dublin, Newhurst and Rookery) and three in development
- Dublin EfW was sold in March 2026 and is not capured in WikiWaste
- Earls Gate is now operational and Protos and Walsall are in the latter stages of construction and commissioning
- In June 2025 Biffa sold their 50% interest in Newhurst and Protos to Encyclis
- Encylis is also developig an IBA processing plant in Wellingborough in partnership with Day Aggregates
