Separation of Wastes Regulations 2025

The Separation of Waste (England) Regulations 2025, entered into force on March 31, 2025, mandating that all businesses, non-profits, and public sector organizations separate recyclable materials—glass, metal, plastic, paper, and card—from general waste. Food waste must also be collected separately, with micro-firms (under 10 FTE employees) having until March 31, 2027, to comply.
